Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, a leading provider of real estate services in Utah, announced today that it has added two Utah real estate veterans to its management team in Ogden. Michele Parsons has been named branch broker of both the Ogden and South Ogden offices, and Doug Russell has been appointed assistant manager and branch broker of the Ogden office.
“We are thrilled to have Michele and Doug join our team,” said Chris Jensen, president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Utah. “Both are natural leaders with the enthusiasm to help agents grow and succeed in real estate, and their expertise in the local market will be a tremendous benefit to our Ogden operations. I look forward to seeing how they will help take our offices to the next level.”
Parsons started her real estate career with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in 2005, was named to the Coldwell Banker International Sterling Society in 2008, and earned her broker’s license three years ago. Prior to working real estate, she earned her bachelor’s degree in logistics from Weber State College. She received the Weber State Alumni Leader award in 1989 and worked for several years in the aerospace industry.
“I’m excited to return to Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage,” said Parsons. “There are so many wonderful things happening in Ogden right now, and there seems to be a return of interest to real estate. It’s not a surprise considering recent accolades. Outside magazine ranked Ogden as one of the best towns in America and Forbes named Ogden one of its top 25 places for business and careers. I’m looking forward to working with our agents and lead the way as the market turns the corner.”
Prior to joining Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, Russell enjoyed a successful 22-year career as a top agent for Century 21 in Ogden. He has received numerous production and service recognitions for his work, including being named both Salesperson of the Year and Realtor of the Year by the Northern Wasatch Association of Realtors. Russell is also a recipient of Century 21’s Quality Service Award and is a Lifetime Centurion, a prestigious award recognizing outstanding sales.
“Throughout my career, there was only one agent I ever felt inferior to when going on a listing presentation – the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage agent who interviewed before or after me,” said Russell. “This is a company of outstanding professionals with access to the most sophisticated marketing tools and support. I’m excited to be part of the team.”
In addition to his duties as assistant manager and branch broker, Russell will continue his highly successful career in sales and serving buyers and sellers throughout the Wasatch Front. He currently serves on the Northern Wasatch Association of Realtors board of directors and on the Transportation Committee of the Weber County Chamber of Commerce.

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, one of Utah’s leading providers of real estate services, announced today that it has named award winning local Realtor Brian Gottfredson manager of the company’s Union Heights office.
A highly respected real estate professional, Gottfredson has enjoyed a successful 30-year career as a top-producing agent and manager for real estate brokerages and property development companies in Utah and California.
In his new position, Gottfredson will oversee a talented sales team of nearly 150 real estate professionals, helping them grow their business and better serve customers in Midvale and throughout the Greater Wasatch Front.
“We are fortunate to have someone of Brian’s talent, experience and marketing expertise to lead our Union Heights office,” said Chris Jensen, president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Utah. “Brian is a highly accomplished real estate professional who knows our local market extremely well. Between his experience, leadership capabilities, energy and enthusiasm, we think he will be a great addition to our management team.”
Gottfredson said he is excited for the opportunity to lead the Union Heights office. “We already have a great foundation to build on with our team of outstanding sales associates,” he said. “I look forward to capitalizing on the skills of our existing agents to help them grow their business, as well as recruit other talented Realtors to join us.”
Throughout his career, Gottfredson has consistently been a top-producing agent, winning numerous sales honors and recognition from the companies he has worked for as well as professional organizations.
Gottfredson entered the real estate business in 1981 after attending Weber State University, where he was the captain of the ski team and competed in the NCAA skiing championships.
With interest rates approaching 20 percent at the time, it was a challenging period to sell real estate. But Gottfredson adopted a creative approach and a can-do attitude, establishing himself as one of the top sales agents along the Wasatch Front by the mid-1980s.
Gottfredson went on to become salesman of the year for the Salt Lake Board of Realtors and received numerous local and national sales achievement awards.
In 2004, Gottfredson shifted gears and joined Santa Fe Partners, a real estate and development company in San Francisco that was developing and selling condominiums in the city. As vice president of real estate, he helped finalize the development work and headed up the sales and marketing team.
After successful completion of the San Francisco developments, Gottfredson decided to return to his real estate roots and affiliated with Summit Sotheby’s International Realty in Utah. While there, he helped take the on-site teams’ market share from 11 percent to 60 percent in less than two years.
In his new role, Gottfredson said he is looking forward to assisting his sales associates with growing their own businesses and to make the Union Heights office the strongest and most productive Coldwell Banker office in the region.
Gottfredson can be reached at Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage’s Union Heights office, located at 7730 South Union Park Ave., Ste. 600 in Midvale, by phone at 801.567.4000 or via e-mail at brian@briangottfredson.com.
